When things are off kilter, you can count on the balancing power of the Law of Polarity to create a course correction. That is what we witnessed on June 14, 2025, as our President’s military parade was simultaneously juxtaposed with over 2,000 No Kings marches protesting his policies. Additionally on the 14th, amidst the tragic news of hate shootings and deaths of Democratic leaders, our non-profit hosted a concert to honor people of different cultures – the rich artistic traditions of India.
Creating these contrasts side by side is exactly how we produce balance when things are out of kilter. It’s the law of Polarity in action. When things go too far in one direction, the fallout prompts you to generate a course correction.

Here are ways you can use the Law of Polarity to create needed change.
UNDERSTAND POLARITY
Everything in the natural world is subject to the Law of Polarity as everything has its opposite. There is hot and cold, hate and love, hard and soft, chaos and calm. Duality always exists – in politics, relationships, our body and nature. When experiencing one extreme, it helps us define what we want on the other end.
BALANCEING POLARITY KEEPS THINGS STABLE
When we exclaim over perfect weather, it’s neither too hot nor too cold. When we feel calm and ease, there is no negative distress or positive excitement. Health is balance and stability. Healthy organizations, relationships, bodies and politics have balance and equanimity. Too much on either side becomes unhealthy – too much power becomes dictatorial; too much inadequacy becomes weakness. Where you are with this dynamic in your life?
YOUR ACTIONS CHANGE THE BALANCE OF THE POLARITY
When things are out of balance, as in our politics, we yearn for more of the opposite – fairness, balance of power, equality. By taking action to express this you create the balance. The more it’s expressed, the more you generate exactly what you are yearning for, it’s just a matter of time before the scale tips. Consider what you’d like to change and take action!
