While many are reeling over the meanness of national politics affecting individuals and businesses, I’m finding kindness and helpfulness. Here is what I have noticed is being revealed.
Several experiences with my son showed me something I wasn’t expecting. When car shopping, dealerships were making special deals for people to buy cars now before tariffs make it too difficult. And when I went with him to the ER for a dog bite, there was a level of competence and compassion, even patience in the midst of the collective distress. In restaurants, customers were still treated with respect and in my office, people were showing concern for one another.
So, here’s how to put your focus on what you want to have happen vs. what you don’t. It’s the foundation of manifestation.
YOUR VALUES STILL LEAD THE WAY
You have a set of core values that direct your life. Be it honesty, fairness, treating others with respect and compassion to those in need. When you lead with your values, you keep yourself out the morass of drama and duplicity. You retain your integrity and a lifestyle that has meaning. Let your own moral compass and kindness be your guide.
DO WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE
Now more than ever, being clear about your values and acting on them is the counter point to the fear and mistrust we hear in the media. It provides balance to the negativity and helps you retain a sense of normality. Be deliberate with your sense of what is right. The car dealership bent over backwards to make a good deal, the ER had all the needed specialists focusing on excellent care, even at 3:00 AM. Restaurant workers were smiling and gracious, at work everyone was helpful, explaining services. You too can deliver more kindness.
APPRECIATE AND ADVOCATE FOR THE CHANGE YOU WANT
If you want to see more of this – appreciate what you receive, compliment, and give praise when it’s deserved. I have. It sets a positive cycle in motion. This included kudos to our KY Senators who finally spoke out against hurtful tariffs. What do you want to advocate for, who can you praise for what they are doing well?
